1. What is IELTS?
International English Language Testing System
This exam was established in 1989.
It is an international standard test to judge the proficiency in the English language for non-native English language speakers who want to study or work in a country where English is a language of communication. It is the world's most popular test and for being popular it may have its own reasons.
Its difficulty level varies from students to students.
2. Eligibility
Minimum age group: 16 years plus and must have a passport.
Who are willing to study in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA
Who are willing to emigrate to Canada, Australia, New Zealand.
3. Types of IELTS exam
In this exam, you have 2 types of exams. One is the Academic IELTS and the other is General IELTS.
The academic exam is for the ones who are planning to study abroad in whichever field they are interested in. The other one is the general one for the ones who are planning to get a job over there.
So, choose wisely your interest.
4. Test Format
We have four sections:
- Listening: 40 questions and 30 minutes for the test and 10 minutes extra for transferring your answers.
- Reading: 40 questions and 60 minutes.
- Writing: 2 tasks and 60 minutes.
- Speaking: 3 sections and 15 minutes possibly.
